I have extensive experience of copy-editing, proofreading and designing presentations, proposals and other materials for learning and business contexts. I do proofreading for Penguin Random House and have worked on books by authors including Will Gompertz, A. C. Grayling and Ruby Wax.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Ali Smith, prize-winning author, while she was Guest Director of the Brighton Festival. Ali mentioned that she was looking for anecdotes about libraries for a book she was writing. I wrote a piece about what libraries mean to me and sent it to her, and she very kindly included a section in her published book Public library and other stories.
